Como ser un aficionado de música de campo

Well..
Since my last post I have not been given any more information about the trip, although there is a meeting in about a week and I'm sure I will have much more to share! Junior year, Semester 1 finals are done and over with! (Sigh of relief!) But, I figured I better post a little something to keep this going..
This video was my final project for Spanish class with my travel buddy, Kenzie Braden, and close friends Brianna Bergstedt and Michelle Emberly. Filmed and editted by Jay P Akwa and Achidi Oketch. It took many hours to create, film, and edit, by the end although we were all sick of each other,  it turned out quite nice!

Enjoy!
Adios :)

Esta Vida Loca

This crazy life..
This crazy life of mine has thrown at me an amazing opportunity, an opportunity to grow, learn, and experience something completely new. In just 146 days (tentatively), I will be boarding a plane to Cuernavaca, Mexico, with a small group of other students passionate about Spanish. In Cuernavaca, I will be living daily life with a Mexican family, attending Universidad Internacional, and learning about the Spanish language and culture.
Lets catch you up...
At 17, I am a junior at Mounds View Highschool, and a part-time PSEO student at Northwestern College. At the end of 2011, I became a lifeguard and swimming lesson instructor, and am loving every minute of it. I continue to ref basketball on Saturdays for kids ages 6 to 13, never a dull moment with them. Although this isn't a typical Minn"snow"ta winter, any free day I have gotten I am out snowboarding, and have avoided injury, so far **knock on wood**. Weeks are pretty planned out, and there is hardly a waking moment that isn't jam packed with school, studying, work, and friends, but that is exactly what makes it Mi Vida Loca...
What I know now...
To be honest, not much. Traveling plans have yet to be set in stone, but I will be attending school at  Universidad Internacional in Cuernavaca, Mexico for one month. Approximately June 15th to July 15th, 2012. I will be living with a Mexican family near the school with my traveling buddy, Kenzie Braden. We were in the same first grade class, made it through middle-school together, embarked on our first PSEO experiences together, and now we are traveling to Mexico by each others' side on our next life adventure.
Updates to come.
What's this all about...
This all came to mind as I was thinking of a way to keep everyone updated about where I will be, and when. What better way than to share a daily Spanish/English journal entry, with a picture or video signifying that day in Mexico? Until the experiences in Mexico begin, I will be posting updates about the days leading up to my next big adventure.
As the days countdown, the excitement only grows, and with every ounce of excitement comes the nervousness of being away. What are mom and dad going to do without me?! (ha!)

Well, until next time...
Adios! :)
