Bienvenidas

                         Viernes- 15de Junio.

Día 1.“Bienvenidos!”

Hey all! I am posting this a day late because last night we were unable to get on the internet at our house… Which by the way is beautiful, but, I will get to that later.
Being at the airport at 3:30 a.m. was quite the experiencewith a group of 14 teenagers running on very little sleep. Our layover was veryshort in Atlanta and we landed in Mexico City around 1 p.m. After a two hourbus ride we made it to Cuernavaca, where I met my NEW host family! Yes.. New.Before boarding our first flight Kenzie and I were informed that we would behaving a new family, but they are absolutely amazing! Mamá loves to talk and isvery enthusiastic about getting us to communicate with her. Papá loves to danceto American music with us in the car, he is sure a hoot! Our sister, Jessica,is 19 years old and we can’t seem to keep up with her, but we are making everyeffort! Our other sister Paulina is 21 and we are excited to get to know her too. Oh, and I can’t forget our host-puppy, Manchita! We have a little poodle on ourhands to keep our minds off our puppies at home :P
Our house is beautiful! (Pictures to come!) We are living inwhat we in America would call the guest house. Our room is very fit for twoteenage girls.. pink, a big closet, and our very own bathroom. In no time weemptied our suitcases and made ourselves right at home. Yes Mom, I found yourcard hidden in my suitcase! Right outside our bedroom door is the garden, witha fresh supply of avocado and plantains!
Tonight has been full of sharing pictures, information, getting to know each other, and eating! :P Meal times are weird here, it willbe hard to get used to dinner after 9 at night- especially on a day like todaywhere we would like to be sleeping by now!
Entrance testing at the University is tomorrow (Saturday,June 16th) and then we will off for our first walking tour ofdowntown Cuernavaca! Can’t wait!
Adios!
