Sabado- 16 de Junio.
Día 2.
“Exámenes de ingreso”
Our
day started later than it will most days.. 8:30 today. We had breakfast and
then headed off to take our entrance exams at Universidad Internacional. We had
both a speaking and a written test to decide what class we will be placed in
when we return for class on Monday morning at the bright and early hour of 8
a.m. :P After a year of no school till 9:30 this is going to be interesting for
Kenzie and I. After our exams we got a tour of the school. It is beautiful! It
feels like we are in the middle of the jungle! Today was raining all day, which
is not normal for Cuernavaca, but because of the hurricane nearby we are
getting a lot of rain- so it really felt like a rain forest! There are small
pools all over campus! It is very cool to look over and see a pool outside your
classroom window! (Pictures to Come) When we returned home from school we found our room was put back together and found that Mama had left us a bowl of candy!
After
school we went on a walking tour of downtown Cuernavaca, it was beautiful and
there was so much history! There were vendors everywhere and the arts and
crafts were very fun to look at. We visited the Cathedral of Cuernavaca and the
Plaza. We even got a taste of street vendor food with Churros! Delicious!
Tonight it has continued to rain and we are sitting inside watching Sex in the
City with our host family. Very interesting with all the Spanish subtitles.
